About this Product
Ribbon test structures are useful for testing physical properties and painting/finishing techniques for various materials. Five ribbons having 40 mil (1 mm) thicknesses are sprued together and may be separated with a small cutting or snipping tool. Each ribbon is approximately 2.7 inches (6.8 cm) long with a width of 0.3 inches (7.6 mm). At one end of each ribbon is a 300 mil (7.6 mm) diameter disk which allows you to hang the ribbon through a slit in a piece of cardboard or other material to suspend the ribbon while spraying or soaking it to test performance with various finishing compounds.
The oval shaped geometry is included on the sprue section to identify that the test structure has minimum geometries of 40 mils. This helps to limit confusion between test structures which appear similar but have different minimum geometries.
