Product Description
The 5080 has a 50.8mm (2") spacing between each prong. Each of the prong's 6.35mm (~1/4") cones provides a quick visual aid for plunge depth. Total segments equal about ~31.75mm (1 1/4").
A ~20mm (3/4") outer diameter PVC pipe can be fitted into the top inset, giving you a handle to avoid crouching or crawling. Some sanding and gluing will be required until the next revision. 1/2" PVC typically has around a 21.3mm outer diameter that should work with a few adjustments.
Note: This is not for breaking new ground. You should ensure the soil has been properly tilled, turned or otherwise for this tool to work properly without breakage. Stones could especially become problematic if the soil is not loose and too much force is exerted.
