DJI Phantom 1.5 Battery door "theONE" BIG
A prototype has already been printed
I now offer you the optimized version!
With this batterydoor for the Phantom 2 chassis
you can use batteries up to a length of about 14,8mm (5.82 inches)
(eg Turnigy 3s 5800mAh)
Since at the chassis of the Phantom 2 is no place for the status LED I integrated it into the batterydoor.
Furthermore, hence the mini-USB access is now easily accessible.
With the "USB-plug" included here the hole for the original USB access at the Phantom2 shell on the other side will be closed.
The original rubber plugs supplied with the Phantom2 shell we use in the batterydoor to close the now here positioned USB access.
A hole on top of the batterydoor is provided to fasten screws on the LED board.
The supplied round plug should be tight due to an inserted groove by simply pushing.
To fit the LED status light so far from the board it needs to be extended by a 4-wire cable.
(I have used the old cable of a Flytrex1)
The cable can then be fixed on the built-in noses.
DJI Phantom 1.5 Battery door "theONE" BIG weighs approximately 21 grams / 0.046 lb
(due to the replacement of the stock USB cable you are saving a weight of 9.8 gram / 0.021 lb)
Here is a report about my own conversion. (in German)
HAVE FUN!!!

DJI Phantom 1.5 Battery door "theONE" BIG wiegt ca. 21 gramm
