Quite simply the most successful airship the world has ever seen. Over a million miles flown with no major accidents and no deaths. Included in her five hundred and ninety flights were a record breaking round the world trip and a regular service of flights between Germany and Rio de Janeiro in Brasil. For this service the Graf would cross France by tracking down the Rhone valley and then cruise along the Mediterranean coast before entering the Atlantic via the Straits of Gibraltar. She would regularly have been visible from my home in the southern Pyrenees and this compelling knowledge is a part of the raison d'etre of my entire range of airship models. This model is my tribute to the ship and the men who flew her. You can use
my 3.5 cm base as a display stand for the model. Length: 776.25ft./236.6m ; Powerplant: five 580hp Maybach VL2 twelve-cylinder engines running on "blau-gaz" ; Crew: 36 + 20 passengers ; Range: 7,450miles/12,000km
