Square Mixup was proposed by Krystian Wilisowski. Whereas the
Square One puzzle allows only 180-degrees moves for the central square, and the 90-degrees mid-turn position is only shown for photogenic purposes, the 90-degrees move is actually functional in Square Mixup. In that position, all 24 sliding pieces are linked in one long daisy chain.
