The Thumb Half Rail (Neck Half in this case) is a long thumb rest for a bass guitar that runs the length of the right hand playing surface (between the pickup(s) and the neck) allowing for wide range of tone variation with a comfortable and familiar hand position. This eliminates the tone-limiting "thumb on the pickup" locations or hand stretching to get where you want to be to get the right tone and attack. Just play.
Secures at standard pick guard screw locations using your existing screws, making it an easily reversible update to your bass.
This unit is designed specifically for the Fender Geddy Lee Artist Series Jazz Bass. It may fit others, but has only been tested on the Geddy Lee model. It should fit other Jazz models fine (tested on a '76 Jazz) if you are willing to drill holes. Other Thumb Rail versions are being developed specific to other model basses as well. The Half Rail is available in both NON-Polished and Polished plastics and Alumide. Non-polished has a textured surface which ads some grip keeping your thumb in place nicely. If you prefer a smooth surface, order "Polished Strong & Flexible"...available in colors too.
