About this Product
This Physiological Chamber replaces around 3 000$ worth of equipement in one simple peace of acrylic, for various types of experiments over an inverted microscope. It has a 1ml central bath, 2 integrated capillary channels for solution exchange, one big channel for temperature control and M6 threaded holes for optionnal modules attachement (browse through my other products). Simply stick a square 20mm glass slide with succion grease under this piece to create a clear bottom for the central bath, you can also buy the ''Bottom glass slide Ring'' that you fasten with 4x M2 screws to tightly hold the glass slide in place for heavy duty use of this product.
This size (external diameter) fits all microscope Mounting Frames out there but you can check out my Mounting Frame that comes with Breadboards on the sides to fix your setup of instruments and greatly ease your work. You can also cover this Chamber with standard Petri Dish lids, stack it like a petri dish, etc, and if you have perfusion plugged in, you can cover the central Bath with a 35mm petri dish lid!
I called it a Physiological Chamber or Bath because I originally designed it for cell culture and manipulations, it's also used for cell culture-ism kinda like a cellular ''gim'' and as a contraction force measurement with optical fiber force transducers, stimulated either electrically or chemically. BUT, it just happens to be perfect for other types of experiments like in chemistry, when you need to mix solutions at controlled flow and temperature, and play with molecular structure by electrification, laser bombardment, irradiation, you name it, and observe the action on the microscope. Simply plug in perfusions with barbed fittings, mount electrodes, surround it with micropositionners and instruments, or you know better...
I can't think of all the applications for this Bath, they seem endless, I just made it as modular and standard compliant as possible andd here it is, one version of it will even go on the Int. Space Station!
