The ships of the Donskoy, or Saint, class are named after Russian Orthodox Saints. It is a high-speed cruiser with a substantial armament and a decent set of range finders to direct its firepower. The Donskoys carry a marine detachment as well as 13 officers and 2 chaplains. They also can carry two Vityaz fighters. Though it usually operates with other ships, it can be a formidable force on its own. In addition to its guns and rocket launchers, the Donskoys carry six 16-inch rockets or the extraordinary Bolshoi Missiles. This missile is believed to use a partially air-breathing liquid rocket and boasts an extraordinarily long range (over 80km).
