Porcelain Tiki Venture

It's my final Dr. Venture Tiki Mug. Standing at 6.5" tall

This is a bespoke piece of artwork, not achievable in any previous production manner. Now this hand sculpted piece can be 3dprinted in high relief, dishwasher safe porcelain, glazed in the color of your choice and ready to Super Science up your Tiki mug collection.

Time to stock up on supplies for a Suffering Bastard.

Tis been a few years in the making. I at first was going to do a very limited run of 20 per tiki mugs per design. These were to be pulled from a plaster mold I created from a 3d printed master. 
The difficulties first became apparent when I begain making a mold for Dr Venture’s eye glasses. I realized how long that process of slip casting, drying, assembling on the mug would take, I saw the likelihood of total failure, IE, NEVER COMPLETING a set, I decided not to continue, especially since I didn’t set out to become a porcelain cup company, nor did I want these to be anything more than something Billy Quizboy and like minded fans would covet.

But then Shapeways started the Porcelain pilot program, and, as long as they pass the test Proof of viability, people can order them custom 3d printed in porcelain , fired, and glazed in a variety of colors. They are food safe too.

Thanks to the hard work and smart engineering done by the people of shapeways, my vision can take ceramic form!
