Product Description
This earring design visualizes a Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) traveling wave propagating within a guided channel. It's a 3D version of a logo of a defunct company called Electronic Decisions Inc. (EDI), or so I am told. The pieces may also be used as small charms or pendants.
You'll need to go to your favorite jewelry or hobby store to get split rings and the types of ear loops or hooks you prefer to use. At present Shapeways is not in the business of including accessory parts with your order. You might want to coat some materials with a clear lacquer or enamel to protect them from moisture and skin oils that can affect the long term color stability of the prints. Anyway, you can review the properties of the various materials available to determine what best suits your needs. When in doubt first get a cheap plastic version before laying down some serious cash for a version in a precious metal.
Third-order intercept performance not specified or guaranteed.
