This is a model of the Octus Service Medal included in the Limited Edition and Epic Edition of Gears of War 3 that I have reverse engineered.
Tools used:
.001" Dial Caliper
Starrett Radius Gauge set (.010, .015, .020, .025, .03, .04, .05, .06, .07, .08, .09, .10, .12, .14, .16, .18, .20, .22, .24, .26, .28, .30, .35, .40, .45, .50)
Best approximations were made when it was apparent that a radius gauge did not perfectly match one of the curves.
Model, renderings, and drawing created by me.
Original design created by Epic Games/Microsoft Studios.
Gears of War is a property of Microsoft Studios and Epic Games, I do not claim to be affiliated with them or to have assisted in the original concept of this design. I am simply a fan of the series and wanted to model this special piece from my videogame collection for others that also appreciate the series.
