Product Description
Soviet Remnant

1:144th scale (10 or 12mm)

All turrets in the Soviet Remnant range are interchangable. Comes with four turrets (L to R in photo): Twin AT 14V Spriggan ATGW, sensor/ECM dome, particle beam, cryo cannon

The BDRM-22A Marzanna is a light grav vehicle. It is poorly armoured and designed primarily for reconnaissance. The turret is modular, and can be fitted with a variety of weapons.

The initial model Marzannas were somewhat rushed out into service, partly due to Yamantau Complex in the Snezhinsk system being threatened by Cybertank attack. This meant that the original intended sensor package was not installed.

The initial production run had four different turrets: a particle beam turret, cryocannon, sensor array or twin AT-14V Spriggan heavy anti-tank missiles.

A grav recon unit was desperately needed, but the initial turret modules only had sensors and no weapons at all. While it worked somewhat effectively paired with the Spriggan version (usually 2:2 or 1:3), it was extremely vulnerable.

As the Marzanna served in the field, field-repairs and upgrades significantly improved the power plant’s efficiency, mostly due to poorly implemented software in the first production rush. As Marzanna was built to house the heaviest turret, the Spriggan launchers, there was unutilised space left in the other three turrets. With the power core optimisation meaning that this extra space could be utilised with the excess power, a refit of all Marzannas to the 22AU version began in 2342, with all subsequent production runs built at this standard. The 22AU version added a standard sensor package to the particle beam and cryocannon turrets. The sensor dome system saw the most notable change, an enhanced ECM package and jammer, though it did not receive any additional weapons. This meant the “standard” particle beam turrets could now do the role previously only the sensor dome turrets, leaving the dome turret for more specialised operations.
