Product Description
This is the shade for my Penumbra Lamp, which is the final for my "Shaping Light" course in the Art and Technology department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The pattern of the lamp is taken from the convection surface of the sun, which was inspired by Olafur Eliasson's 2003 installation "The Weather Project" in the Tate Modern. The negative space of the structure allows for the edison filament bulb to remain visible.
