A04 N Nn3 working link & pin couplers, proto width

48 N scale drawheads for link and pin couplers. This style was made of wrought iron bars and rivetted together, but can also represent some cast iron styles.

Model is prototype width to fit between car sills. A slot is provided on the underside to locate a drill hole for screw or pin mounting, or attach with CA or epoxy.

These can accommodate links up to 1mm wide (13 links/inch chain) and will operate like the real thing if one has good eyes and tweezers. Has a 0.3mm/.010" diameter hole for the pin. Some helpful advice about the A06 version (with mounting hole) from a customer: "Tested and will pull a minimum of a 10 car Nn3 train, and possibly 20+. They should pull 15+ standard N cars as well. They bolt right onto the stock hole for Microtrains cars. You must shorten the mounting screw for flat cars, and gondolas. Use .010 brass wire from K&S Special Shapes for the pins. Flatten the wire at one end so that it does not fall through. Great design for detail fanatics."
Because of their small size and fine detail, Frosted Ultra Detail is the preferred material. Clean with soapy water or alcohol before painting with acrylics.
