Product Description
Mathematical knots are fascinating objects by themselves. But if you put a knot in ordinary soap water (e.g. water with a little bit of dish liquid) then an interestingly curved shape will "magically" be formed which contains the knot as its boundary. This is caused by the physical laws of our world which make the soap water take a state of least energy. These soap water shapes are real world incarnations of abstract mathematical objects which are called minimal surfaces. The trefoil knot is a very special case because the shape which will be formed is the famous so-called Moebius Strip. We added a small handle to the knot so that you may easily put the whole knot into the soap water.
