1/300 VT1-2 Jagdleopard x 5

The VT1-2 prototype, built in 1975, was the ultimate development of the German Jagdpanzer tradition of turretless.tank destroyers.

The vehicle was based on a heavily modified tank chassis. A short track base and upgraded engine allowed it to turn quickly against threats from any direction. For firepower, it carried a pair of 120 mm guns with autoloaders - the same gun as later used in the Leopard 2 and US M1 tanks. A sophisticated fire control system allowed to fire even when moving and turning.

Tests proved that the design worked technically, but the Bundeswehr felt that it had too many tactical limitations and it was not introduced.
