T58p x8 N offset passenger truck, Caboose, Overton

4 pairs of wooden passenger car trucks to fit models with tight clearances, such as cabooses and Athearn/MDC Roundhouse Overton cars. Based on our T57 CB&Q No.7 truck. A common design for small passenger cars, cabooses/waycars, drovers' cars, milk and express cars, this truck was popular from about 1880 to the end of wood car construction.
This version mounts with a common bolster pin, included, and is made with an offset mounting to clear the end steps on cabeese and Athearn/MDC Overton cars. Very similar to the original trucks used by the Sierra Railroad on the prototype for the Overtons, seen in countless movies.
Made for 33" low or standard profile wheelsets (MicroTrains or Fox Valley Models (#3301) with .540" length axles). Large flange MT wheels also fit, as do Fox Valley 36"
Because of their small size and fine detail, Frosted Ultra Detail is the preferred material. Clean with alcohol before painting, or with Bestine rubber cement remover if parts are particularly greasy. Acrylics recommended. Part Number T58p
