Product Description
Delivered in 1905, the 50 Denver Northwestern & Pacific (the "Moffat Road") 20000-Series flat cars were originally used in maintenance-of-way service. In the early 1920s sides were added to the cars by the D&SL shops at Utah Junction to allow them to contribute in coal hauling service. These modified cars featured truss-rods, wooden frames and arch bar trucks. While many were destroyed in wrecks, most of the 20000-series cars operated on the D&SL into the 1930s. This N-Scale model of the Denver & Salt Lake 20000-Series flat/gondola is fully assembled but requires weight, a brake wheel, paint, decals and trucks to complete: standard Micro-Trains arch bar trucks are recommended.
