Unlike Pullman's ice A/C system, PRR built a single bunker, that crossed under the center sill of the car, and formed its own sump.
These two-door, 3000-pound capacity bunkers usually appeared under PRR diners. These cars had limited space available underneath, because of the large tanks needed to satisfy the kitchen's need for water, and the dining room only needed cooling during meal service.
