Broken bonnet catch microswitch or wiring on your VW Transporter? Reluctant to pay £50+ for a complete catch just to replace the switch? Then this might be for you!
The original bonnet catch switch comes in a nice little plastic mounting but unfortunately the switch and wiring is glued into place and next to impossible to replace. This part replicates the plastic mounting but is designed to fit an aftermarket microswitch which you can wire up yourself by splicing the new wires into the existing loom.
It is designed to fit an OMRON D2FS-FL-N Ultra subminiature microswitch which is available from Farnell or other electronics suppliers (google is your friend). The switch can simply be glued into place using the locating pins.
Designed to fit a 2003-2007 VW T5 Transporter but might fit other VWs with a similar switch (although I cannot guarantee this)
