Product Description
A prototype hilt design for SCA rattan combat. My goal is for these designs to be an easily available template for the next generation of SCA pommels and crossguards.
The entire model is 7.8" tall with a 7" tang and (assuming a 1" thick crossguard and 1" deep pommel) a 5" grip. The crossguard mounting section is a 1.5" x 1" stadium shape (also called a discorectangle) instead of an oval or ellipse to prevent spinning of the crossguard and fit comfortably in the hand.
