Product Description
When the Kliment Vorošilov first appeared, it was an unpleasant surprise to the Wehrmacht. Their answer was in the form of the Tiger I, although they could not deliver the Tiger to the Eastern front for almost a year after first encountering the KV-1. The KV-1 was armed with a 76,2 mm main gun and ball-mounted machine guns in the rear of the turret and left of the driver. Though its status as the most powerful tank on the Eastern Front was quickly displaced, the KV-1 was the prototype for an entire line of heavy tanks that gave the USSR the edge in land battles for decades.
