Baby Platonic Solids Earrings, bone style

These earrings are made up of the tetrahedron and octahedron.  The tetrahedron consists of four faces, four vertices, and six edges; and the octahedron has eight faces, six vertices, and twelve edges.  In Plato's writing, he associated the tetrahedron and octahedron with the classical elements of fire and air, respectively.

These earrings are 5/8" across and 1 3/8" long.  Our bone style Platonic solids have slightly convex curved sides and enlarged, knobbed vertices.  The shape evokes coral, or the bones of some alien species.

The earrings are printed with a loop connecting the pair, so that Shapeways can handle them as a single object more easily.  You can cut the loop with fingernail clippers or snippers, then you just have to add earwires.  If you aren't interested in assembling them yourself, we also offer completed earrings in our Etsy and Amazon shops!
