This N Scale model represents a "Hogshead" 84' tobacco car produced and used by Southern railway. The doors can not be opened. This model comes in 3 pieces: the main body, and the two endwalls. You will need to glue the endwalls to the model to finish it. This method allows you to add weights as necessary to the inside. I recommend filling the interior with foam or similar after the weights and trucks are in place due to the thin sidewalls. The body has been designed for BLMA 70 ton ASF ride-control trucks with 33" wheels (part# 9025). If you intend to use a different manufacturer, you may have to mill down the mount points a little to get the prototypical height. You will also need to add finishing details such as the ladder rungs, and brake wheel. The brake wheel mount is already in place. Other versions are available with different window counts and discounts for multiple quantities. This is the 20 window version.
