Engine Display Stand for 1:16 scale WWI German and Austro-Hungarian aircraft engines.
Specifically designed to fit Daimler-Mercedes D.III and D.IIIa, but other engines may fit on this stand as well. The distance between the rails is 26.7mm. (Please let me know if you have successfully used it with other engines!)
May be suitable for diorama use such as a Jasta workshop setting; it follows the typical arrangement and although most photos show stands made from simple timbers who is to say a smith couldn't have built such a table from scrap girders?
Please note: This model is printed in Frosted Ultra Detail acrylic plastic, which will arrive with a barely noticeable waxy coating that should be removed before you attempt to paint it.To prepare parts for painting, soak them for up to 15 minutes in a small jar filled with acetone (nail polish remover.) Once the waxy support material is completely removed, the parts will appear mostly white.
