This is not a giant deformed Hershey Kiss. It is a Christmas Klein Bottle. The Klein Bottle defined by Felix Klein is an interesting mathematical form. It is said to be 4D. Building one with layer-based technologies is the best way to come close to creating a true Klein Bottle. To the best of my knowledge the first Klein Bottle was first grown my Jeff Konopacki at Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1992. I was amazed to see such an impossible shape to fabricate. At the time the Encyclopedia Britannica stated that it was an impossible shape to produce and would never be made (or something along those lines). Maybe true but some of these "grown" kleins come very close. Anyway, please enjoy this design and your Holidays. Here are some suggestions to make this product even better:
-using a light spray of clear finish followed by a sprinkle of sparkles the finish will pop. Also, the lettering could be painted with some Elmers glue and sprinkled with a contrasting color. To hang simply slide onto a branch or feed a ribbon loop through the surface. A wire hook will work too. If you make yours look really cool I'd love to see it! Please send me a pic.
