Product Description
What time wouldn't have a Pirate ship plying the trade lanes of space? This ship was actually designed and built as a planetary defense gunboat. But due to wars and conflicts, some ended up dead junk floating out in space. Some were found by some "free thinkers" and got rebuilding these. A young yet brilliant engineer had idea's on what to do and helped get these going again. Some others who had a few of these type vessels, jumped on the idea. Stole a bunch of warp tech from some Fleet outposts. Kidnapped some engineer's and their families, many who are brilliant and figured a way to add warp capability to these vessels and force them to upgrade their ships so they could stand toe to toe against a Fleet cruiser.

Which opened the galaxy up to where these could strike next. They then went on a slash and burn run through the sector, as the likes Fleet has never seen before. Some of the pirates had actually been a part of Fleet, so they knew how to evade the police cruisers and larger vessels. They unleashed a piracy war on local system, gaining the upper hand in several system. Which gave them a home planet of sorts.

Fleet hasn't yet taken full action, because most of the piracy is outside of Fleet controlled space. However Fleet has sent in a few 'Special Operations' teams to try and learn more about these new Pirates. Fleet may have little choice, but to restore freedom to that part of the sector, but it may require a couple of front line starships to get involved. Which would violate Fleets core principles of none interference.

Will Fleet violate it's core principles to restore freedom? Will the pirates win or lose in a battle with Fleet? Who's smarter? Who's got the fire power? You get to play out the idea's and adventures in your own games. Enjoy the fun and the piracy of the future.

Well I designed this, and a good friend brought it all together for me. This isn't that big, But it's the perfect pirate ship. Fast, to evade, small, to hide anyplace, armored, to deal with attacks, and it packs fire power, to 'explain' your side of things to someone. That front escape hole, well it's suppose to actually be the primary weapon. With the massive turret below, the 2 eye shot cannons and the 3 stock starship turrets, Oh yeah, this thing can explain a lot, even to a ship 5 times it's size.

Just think, now when your scampers are running about the galaxy, now they will have to deal with this thing. And rumor has it, a small fleet of these is out there, all black, brings death and they are said to be cursed. So watch yourself. 1/1000 scale.

Well it was a nasty fight. But I got these nasty old pirates locked up someplace safe. So their ship is now for sale. But be careful, any piracy out there and you'll get the same punishment, life in the dlithium mines.

Original back story line idea by Starvihawk, But I made some small changes to it.
