Product Description
This pendant is inspired by a Byzantine golden belt buckle personalized with the owner's name monogram, Theodore. Belt buckles were in use in the Byzantine Empire by the 5th century, when the Roman toga began to be replaced by trousers as part of the cultural influence of the northern migratory peoples. Once tilted of 90° I thought that this luxurious belt buckle looked a bit like an owl and that it could be a very nice pendant. Hence the object name.
