This is a model of a guide RNA from the CRISPR/Cas system bound to its target DNA. For a summary of CRISPR/Cas9, see the protein's page. The model is adapted from the crystal structure of a Cas9 protein from the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus [1]. If you are interested in the entire protein/RNA/DNA complex, check out either the mini or mega models. Notice the 180-degree twist of the DNA strand where it is pried apart by protein's Phosphate Lock Loop. This model is also available in either mini and mega.
