A08 N, Nn3 link and pin couplers, wrought iron x48

48 N scale drawheads for link and pin couplers. Newly reinforced under the head. This style was made of wrought iron bars and rivetted together. Common before cheaper, high quality cast iron came along in the 1860s and used long afterward. Shown in photo with our Allen trucks part T82

Body mount using #00 screw in same location as a MicroTrains or similar coupler. A shim may be required for some models. They extend from car end about 3.4mm.

Though they can't accomodate real links, they can be made to operate using a U- or wishbone-shaped wire, preferably flat, connected through the pin holes (0.6mm/.024" diameter).
Because of their small size and fine detail, Frosted Ultra Detail is the prefered material. Clean with soapy water or alcohol before painting with acrylics or enamels.
