Product Description
1:43 model of Annie, the Bagnall 042T originally built for the Gentle Annie tramway in New Zealand. The Groudle Glen Railway have a replica, also called Annie, but built to 2ft gauge. This model is intended for O9 use (18" gauge on 9mm track, to fit a fleischmann 7000 chassis) but if you built your own chassis it could be used for 14 or 16.5mm gauge. Buyer will need to make a pony truck (a simple task with some brass or styrene - probably hinge it on the rear coupling socket of the fleischmann chassis) and find a suitable wheelset for it. The prototype's trailing wheels are 9" diameter, which scales out at 5.5mm. I have used a peco n gauge spoked wagon wheel, which works well. As with Sipat, you will need some brass rod of 1, 0.8 and 0.5mm diameters for cab roof supports, brake standard and handrails. Sadly, due to Shapeways deciding they can no longer print items as detailed as they could last year (without telling their designers) the smokebox dart (which is the same as the one on Sipat which prints fine) has been deemed unprintable at any decent level of detail, so I have used an Alan Gibson 4mm scale one (any 4mm scale smokebox dart would do, I just had a Gibson one in stock). As usual instructions and pictures of the build on my website: http://brackmodels.weebly.com/bagnall-annie-042t-in-o9-7mmft.html
