+ Price cut on White, Strong and Flexible (again!)

Hi there,
We are doing it again! After the price cut of 10% we announced in March we now lower the price for this versatile material even further. For each model we will now calculate $ 1.5 per cm3 plus start-up costs of $ 1.5 per item. Looking at Daddymack’s Ultrabowl this means $90.78 instead of $100! Our popular LightPoem is now $64 in stead of $70.

+ Co-Creator Platform successes

The Shapeways Co-Creator Platform has been released two weeks ago. Since then already more than 10 new cool designs have been added that anyone can customize.
We were amazed by the creativity of you, our community members and wanted to share this. One of the inspiring ideas is this Cubert cubed by youknowwho4eva. A cube, that when viewed in most directions appears to be scrambled junk, but in two views a secret message or image appears!
We are looking forward to see your responses to the first orders.

+Metal update

|
We have launched our metal production three weeks ago now and we have  already produced hundreds of models. The enormous diversity of applications never ceases to amaze us! We have seen great mechanical parts, jewelry and even amazing stuff like requests for the making of an exhaust nozzle of a liquid fuel rocket engine or parts of a jet engine.

+Bonzai contest, only one week to go

The Bonzai competition on "your dream home, or anything in it" is ending on September 4. We already have some interesting entries, but if you think you can do better, show us! We have $300 in 3D printing and a license for Form.Z RenderZone Plus for first place available. $200 in 3D printing and a license for Bonzai3D for second place. $100 in 3D printing and a Bonzai t-shirt for 3rd place.
