+ A new material: Alumide

G'day,

From today until 14 March 2010 you can try out Alumide.

The din of the clamoring for this material on the forum gave us no choice but to offer it to you.

3d printed Alumide
  • This shiny, space age looking material is
“White, Strong & Flexible” with Aluminum mixed in with it.
  • It looks like something from the future & is heat resistant to 172 Celcius.
  • We're offering it to you for $1.59 per cm3 (plus $1.50 start up).

We think this is going to be a great material
for the engineering crowd on Shapeways.
This Arduino case points to a wealth
of Maker possibility.

And Gyro the Cube was already a beautiful moving sculpture but just look at it now.

Check out large photographs of the models above as well as photos of a Spots Vigilante,
Mecha Ring and Tealight lanterns.

Be sure to order before the 14th of March 2010 as it is a limited time offer.

We will offer Alumide permanently, if enough people like & use it.

Kind regards,

Joris
