+ 3D print a gift for your Valentine

Hello everyone,

Below we have some inspiration for Valentine's Day for you. Are you in love with 3D printing?
Are you in love with someone besides yourself? Examples of perfect confluences of these disparate elements can be found below.

These symbolic customizable keys open hearts not doors.

With the picture pendant you can turn a photograph into a metal 3D print. You could make
one of your loved one or you could turn a pattern or image into something to keep and cherish.

Entangled love is a cute symbol of the two of you as one. For the secret admirers amongst
you the Braille Cufflinks are a stylish gift for him.

Turn the best picture of the both of you into a 3D printed Photoshaper here. Now your Valentine can not only see you but also touch you if you’re away.

You can find many more gifts in the Valentines day gallery.

Valentines Day is right around the corner so please order your models before Sunday 18:00 CET to get them in time for Valentines Day!

Kind regards,

Joris

+ Blog posts: HP 3D printing, Shapeways on TV & Fingerblister

HP is going to be selling 3D printers, an attempt at humor and insight about what this means for the 3D printing industry can be found here.

The post includes the best sentence I've ever written, “Environmentalists will have to put "please don't 3D print this" stickers on everything, every single thing on the planet, even all of the ideas.“

For the launch of Full Color, the Shapeways team visited Showstoppers @ CES and this resulted in some great coverage in the Todayshow and lots of other places too, check out the blog post for more information.

A great example of using 3D printing technology, Shapeways community member Anthony Hill uses our Branding Irons for his Finger Board business. We (heart) this.

+ Image upload

You can now upload an image to Co-Creators! This makes the Money Pig so much fun. Look for more Co-Creators the coming weeks where your face, drawing, pattern, picture can be easily added to your models!

+ Sketchup Texture Map & VRML tutorial

Aeron203 wrote a helpful texture map tutorial showing you
how to use Sketchup with color 3D printing. Thank you so much!

+ Automatic wall thickness check in Blender

Eric Finley expanded on Loonsbury's pricing script and turned in into a full wall thickness checker in Blender! Check that out here.
