+ Your own personalized Piggy Bank
| |
Hello everyone,
We've got lots of different fun 3d printing tidbits for you today. Get your personalized piggy bank, in any color or in any pattern for just $79.
We will also show you how you can become a gnome, an action figure or make a Hoodie.
But, that is not all you can create. We are also crowdsourcing & co-creating the next 3 months of my life and my priorities as a Community Manager. I'd appreciate it if you told me what I should be doing here.
We also have a couple of great interviews for you and a beautiful borromean surface and articulated robot we wanted to show you.
Kind regards, Joris

+ Tell me what to do
As Community Manager it is my job to listen to you and steer Shapeways in the direction you would like it to go.
I'd like for you to tell me what I should be doing.
Have your say.
- Should there be more tutorials?
- More videos with materials?
- Should the blog just be about 3D printing?
- Can we improve your newsletter?
The survey should take no longer than 6 minutes. Just let us know what you think, we are listening.

+ HP will make 3D printers & the Long Tail of Things
The news that HP will enter the 3D printing business was huge. It leads to several rather lengthy posts on my part. One is an attempt at a humorous take on the implications of HP, whilst another compares desktop 3D printing to the pizza business.
Wired Editor and Long Tail guy Chris Anderson wrote an important article about bits and atoms, and you can find my take on that here.
Meanwhile we've been spending most of our free time making Bioplastics.
