To give you an idea of the scale. Also an excellent revision charm - watching over to make sure all the engineering revision gets done.

His eyes may be a bit scary - but he is an excellent good luck charm during long flights.

Here's a picture showing how the model comes up with details such as empty area under the coat (not just solid) and again really shows the possibilities of this kind of manufacturing for parts like these. Primary components such as head are hollow and the material shows up some of the work lines - however the product still looks excellent. @satcharna @procollision Whether or not Wherner von Braun committed war crimes and crimes against humanity is not up to an internet debate on a additive manufacturing website - it is up to a court and jury of the appropriate level with the full facts of the case. What can be said with certainty is that whether or not WvB was guilty of these actions, he was an incredible engineer and designer and his work, building on top of, and with, others of the same period, paved the way for modern rocketry, both within and out of the atmosphere, and hence his work is key to the world in which we live, from SatNav to the internet, the orbiting satellites which his work helped launch shaped the modern world. @Crowdpleaser - Not true, whilst the work WvB was essential to the success of the program, NASA was formed from the already existing and successful NACA and was a direct response, along with ARPA, to the CCCP's Sputnik satellite. Sputnik's early launch date however was only achieved through the information and data gathered from the Third Reich's research and development facilities.

Without Wernher von Braun and the V2 Rocket, there would not be a Space Program or NASA. Period.

well werhner von braun was NOT the leader of the project, he was a nazi, yes but not responsbile for the production, that was a couple of SS guys and we all know what their method of work was. i agree that the V2 program took a lot of human lives, but to blame the scientist i belive is wrong

@RocketTurtle Oh, I have no problem with the model. It looks quite well done to me. The problem I have is with what the model represents.

@satcharna Well the model is still awesome, you have to admit. :P But I would just pretend he's just some other rocket scientist if that's what you need to do.

@colourfulsalmon And the fact that more people died building his V2 rockets than died from their use as weapons? That interviews with prisoners who worked for him confirmed him as one of the worst slavedrivers in Germany (quite an accomplishment)? That he was enthusiastic about Nazism? The fact that he was significant in the space race doesn't excuse his crimes.

@satcharna He was a prodigy and a pillar in the space race for the USA; also known as the "Father of Rocket Science". I think you need to do some research and broaden your understanding. Rocket Scientist first, compulsorily enlisted Nazi 2nd, or maybe 200th. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wernher_von_Braun

Disappointing that glorifying Nazis is still a thing.
