Just received my order in the mail. It's beautiful! Thank you so much!

@jamie_foster Hey Jamie, This should work, but the sooner you order the better. If you order until Friday it should work though... Cheers, David

Hi David, I am thinking about purchasing one of these as a Christmas gift. I was wondering whether you could give me an idea of whether or not it is likely that you could get one made in time for this? Cheers, Jamie.

@courtney_prue Hi Courtney, I agree it's confusing. You need to send the recording by email and place the order here. In the order process there is a field special instructions/customization. Please enter your email there so I can assign your file. I'm working on making this easier. If you have further questions just contact me by email orders@bza.biz

@DAVID bizer how do we get the recording to you…does it go to my email then I upload it? And how do we order it?
June 18, 2014, 1:41 pm
@katiemarie1016 it works both ways round. doesn't matter...
June 10, 2014, 10:23 pm
@DAVID bizer do we place the order and then send you the recording or the other way around?
June 10, 2014, 10:18 pm
@katiemarie1016 Hi Katie, You can do it on a smartphone (e.g. the native iOS memo app, it shows the wave visualization as well) Or you can record it online if your computer has a mic, e.g. www.vocaroo.com woks well. If you need further help, let me know!

How do we make a recording?
June 9, 2014, 10:22 pm
@Leonardos_Apprentice unfortunately the frequency information is lost, it only shows the amplitude. you could only here a tone in different volumes.

@DAVID Bizer The more I think about it, I begin to realize you really created a hardcopy of waveform. If the hardcopy could be turned back into waveform that would be cool. I know your sculpture could be turned into a silhouette and saved as a raw file. Then imported into the audio app as a wav or aiff. The final results might sound a little robotic but it could work.

@Leonardos_Apprentice There is no mass production. Each piece is made individually. So making a mould and casting it wouldn't be an option. Of course if somebody would order the same piece several times this would make sense. But the concept is that any piece is indivdualized. I could offer this exact piece though for a lower price, still I'm not sure if anybody would want to buy it... Woud be interesting to make a chessboard with the individual figures shaped by their soundwave visualization. I think if I find some spare time I do it just to find out. Probably hard to play though as the pieces wont look very distictive.

@DAVID Bizer I understand. As I said before, I think your initial idea was quite clever. It actually made me wonder what chess piece shadows, if transformed into sound wave, might sound or even say? Okay, a bit extreme, but it did get the brain juices flowing. I understand your time in in transferring the code, and being one who has modeled in 3D, I can understand some of the frustrations you went through. However, once a piece is completed, the mass production could be sold at a lower price, making a mold of your piece would be easy, thereby giving you more profit. Anyway, just some thoughts.
February 20, 2014, 10:49 pm
@Leonardos_Apprentice Indeed it doesn't take 3d modelling superpowers to create it, still you need to take care of some issues on how to deal with the file so it goes through in production. Usually it involves some communication to specify detailsas well, that's what I basically charge money for...
February 20, 2014, 10:14 pm
I think your idea was quite imaginative. However, your price is quite extreme for something that can be done on a simple laithe. Right now, it looks like part of a chess piece. If it had sound ability then it would be worth it. Right now it isn't quite marketable just as an object.
