Product Description
ATTENTION, ATTENTION, Please read this statement before going further. This model has been up and working since 2013. In 2014 I made the last and final change I was willing to make to this model. It exceeds every guideline for WSF material. This model has printed more than 50 times, if memory serves. ShapeWays Production Facility has had issues post production for some reason, and they make this "first to try". But this model is NOT first to try. This model has been unchanged and printable since 2014.
This is larger than the 1/1000 scale Aries 1B, from 2001. They are alot larger than we thought they would be. 2cm diameter. So we are renaming it. Now we call it the Aries 7K, because of it's size. But it would make great heavy lunar freighter. Or if you like, as a lunar surface habitat. And since NOW we have the Aries 1B actually back and printing. It will go nicely with this.
Due to some issues caused by the new pricing scale. I went back in and re-did this in an effort to deal with older issues I never got around to fixing. Brand new engines, removed the 4 hatchways and put 4 giant gantry style doors on. Re-did the bottom housing the engines mount too. Also worked on the legs, landing gear and connector pins. The pin's are now 40% larger, I then moved the pin's and the landing gear up the legs a bit. All of this should have 2 side effects, 1, it's now shorter, 2. the landing gear should now be stronger and less likely to break. All of these changes have had a nice effect. Price. Price dropped. One of only a few models I'v been able to actually lower the price on.
