This shape has a dodecahedron inside a truncated icosahedron. The Dodecahedron is held to the edge of the truncated icosahedron at 10 points, (5 at the top pentagon and 5 at the bottom) A truncated icosahedron is a geometric shape made out of combined pentagons and hexagons, the same shape as a football (soccer ball). The shape is made up from regular 12 pentagons and 20 regular hexagons. A dodecahedron is the 3D equivalent of a pentagon made up of 12 regular pentagons. In total this shape has 24 regular pentagons, 20 regular hexagons, and 10 supports to hold the dodecahedron to the truncated icosahedron. This is an art project I created for my A-Level art. The greatest face thickness of each individual shape is 2.5mm, so it is pretty delicate, but still strong enough to hold its shape, and the modal looks remarkable elegant. The whole modal is smaller than a 150x150x150mm box.
I am not sellling this for a profit so there is no mark up :)
