A big thanks to everyone who has bought this model and especially to everyone who is posting their great images of the models here on the website. By way of thank you I would love to run a painting competition if people are interested. Starting today we would like people to upload the best images they have of their Ha'tak and the winner will receive a free model of our Batman Tumbler (Check out the 3D printed Batman - Tumbler Car [80mm & Solid] via @Shapeways)

just got mine today in the WSF... couldn't be happier with it... the detail in the WSF adds such an awesome texture to it. THANK YOU for designing such a wonderful piece!!!

Here a close-up of the pyramid part. I really like the texture of the WSF material here, I guess it will add even more detail to the already amazing looking surface.

I got my print in WSF. I own the 1-part-version already, and this 2-aprt variant will be much, MUCH easier to paint. Great work!

@Tamereth I have received a message from Shapeways. They say that for a polished version they want the parts to be 0.5mm (however this is not mentioned anywhere on their website). The model is built for 0.2mm so I think a polished version would probably push this down to 0.1mm and therefore outside of their limits and thus lose the detail. To make everything 0.5mm would make the detail almost twice as big and I think it would start to look very chunky.

@Speed Thanks for that. In the meantime i have ordered the 1 part version of the model, will be a bit harder to paint but will look just as good once it's done.

@Tamereth I have asked Shapeways to explain why as we have built to the tolerances of 0.2mm detail and they have asked for 0.5mm which is not required for this material.

Was unable to print in white strong and flexible polished material.
