@jlevine before you can use this great EDF, you will need to get a UMX MiG15 ($150), tear it apart, and graft an aftermarket 15amp ESC to the stock receiver cause you cant use this high powered setup with the stock electronics or the stock battery. i made a "how-to" video for add the ESC here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fSLHaAXzO54. feel free to join the discussion and get answers here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1668461&highlight=12mm+motor&page=54

My NitroCharged UMX 28mm EDF shroud in a E-flite UMX MiG15 with a HP06v2 16200kv by Oversky and a AEO 27mm 7 blade fan. this setup produces a peak thrust of 84grams at 6.97v and 13.91amps. Note: careful when removing a tight fitting fan, you can crack the motor mounts. i suggest you purchase a second unit as a spare. i cracked one of mine removing a fan. this is not necessarily a defect, but a restriction of clearance that the short output shafts of the small outrunners mandate. i could not suggest a modification to improve it. just be careful and get a spare or 2. GREAT JOB NitroCharged.
