About this Product

1944 concept design for a 'arrow wing' fighter, this is the more conservative version using the proven DB 603 engine rather than the more powerful As 413. I chose this version because I think it's a slightly more interesting arrangement with the big underslung radiator and because the diagrams were easier to interpret.

I'm puzzled by one thing, there's a huge inlet for the radiator but no outlet - web searches just show more images of the same conundrum.

x1 x4 (on sprue)

@matthewson_david Thanks for the positive comments and link David. My problem is that even if the prototype was going to be converted to a jet when an engine was available it would still need some kind of outlet for the radiator. Some aircraft (EG Kyūshū J7W1 Shinden) had an annular exhaust around the propellor but there is no evidence of that on this design.

Nick Check out this: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blohm_%26_Voss_P_208 It suggests that the design was intended to be converted to a turbo jet after the prop design had been completed. perhaps the intake was for the jet version? Great models! David
