About this Product

One 1/144-scale Albatros B.I WWI aeroplane. This model features the 150hp Benz Bz.III engine and the lengthened fuselage. See also my model with the 100hp Mercedes D.I and the shorter fuselage. Albatros B.I's were used from early in the war through the end of 1915, by the German, Bavarian, and Austro-Hungarian air services, with a peak of 157 at the front in April 1915.

Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed the model. I, too, am pretty excited that anything you can imagine and bring to life via a modeling program can be turned into something you can hold in your hand (at least, within material limitations). Imagine where we will be in ten years!

Lovely model arrived today without any damage, the first printed model I ever bought. The crew and even the thickening of the struts and such work well and it still looks very delicate. As an old fashioned plastic scale modeler I am surprised at what is possible with 3D printing nowadays. I am also amazed that this model is done in Blender.
