1/144 WWI Observers with Parabellum Guns [×30]

Not For Sale

Unfortunately this design has come to the end of its lifetime -- it was designed to older Shapeways design rules and they will no longer print it. The good news? It has been replaced by a new product with better human models and a variety of poses, albeit with thicker gun barrels. The new model is available in both WSF and FUD materials.

Ah ok, thats a pain! Maybe from an efficiency point of view it would be better just to do the observers, without the guns: then at least we would only need one set :-)

Hi Bobd, These days I am having a harder and harder time getting designs past the FUD screening process with small-diameter gun barrels. I suspect that they only continue to print this design because their records show it has printed successfully many times in the past. So a new version of this probably will not be possible: the gun barrel would have to be 1.5 to 2 times its current diameter before Shapeways would accept the design. Maybe this will eventually change.

Hi guys. Your efforts here are much appreciated, and I will be buying some of these fellows. However, is there any chance of getting some full-body Allied/Central Powers observers (i.e. standing up, rather than cut off at the waist), for the more open cockpits such as on the HP 0/400, F.E.2, Voisin, etc? Thanks and best regards --BobD

I got the test print back from Shapeways on Feb 6, and all 30 observers printed perfectly, so I have marked them as purchasable. There's a photo of the actual print in the model's photo collection.

Please let potential customers know when these are printing correctly.

@kduke42 Well, it's really up to me, but I like to get a good print back from Shapeways before I mark them as "purchasable", for protection of potential customers.

Please get these 'approved' or whatever it takes to move from "not for sale" into my cart at checkout.
