While this model is still available, I recommend the updated observer models with poses at multiple angles, linked below.

This product is an array of thirty 1/144 observers for WWI aeroplanes. This set has 20 observers with single Lewis and 10 with double-Lewis. Guns are modeled as close as possible to correct proportions given the limitations of FUD material. A box structure protects the model during shipping. It is intended that you can snip off an observer, trim, and glue into existing crewless plane models. This also works well for replacing crew on WSF models, which -- while cheap -- suffer from lack of detail on the observers. Frosted Ultra Detail material assures the finest detail possible for the observer and the guns.

My line of WWI aeroplane crew:

1/144 WWI Observers with Single Lewis Guns: without Scarff Rings or with Scarff Rings

1/144 WWI Observers with Twin Lewis Guns: without Scarff Rings or with Scarff Rings

1/144 WWI Observers with Parabellum Guns: without rings or with rings
1/144 WWI Pilots
1/288 WWI Pilots
1/288 WWI Observers

I got the test print back from Shapeways on Feb 6, and all 30 observers printed perfectly, so I have marked them as purchasable. There's a photo of the actual print in the model's photo collection.

I just need to get a test-print back from Shapeways. I've run a single-copy version and it came back looking good.
