Arduino Case

Description

5.7 w x 0.9 d x 5.6 h in cm |

This ia a modular case for the Arduino Microcontroller. It has been designed to fit 6 across in a 1U Rack with a little room to spare. M3 Screws are suggested and not included. The holes have not been drilled or tapped, so you can use #4-40 screws as well.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Apparently either Shapeways failed to email or I failed to read the notification.

If you are interested I can try changing the structure to see if that can decrease the cost, but at the moment I am mostly working on trying to adapt the case for injection molding. Unfortunately I don't think the newer designs will be rack mountable to make sure they can fit one shield.
What sort of pricing would you end up with if the housing changed from a sealed box to more of a structural-honeycomb-only?

That is: If you're rackmounting, you aren't so worried about fingers, soda, etc. Just holding it in place and preventing unexpected shorts.
