@TangTango I found an easy way to hold them while painting. A very small dab of Elmer's Glue Stick on a strip of cardstock. Holds it in place and is easy to pull off.

Here is a photo of a fire hydrant by Tang Tango that I used on a diorama that I'm selling on eBay. I plan to use them at most intersections on my N scale city on my home layout. This is a very accurate copy of the real thing.
