1:300th scale MO-634 boat on SP-5 trailer. This boat is used in conjunction with the PMS bridging set; each bridging company typically had 8 boats to accompany its 36 bridging pieces, or more recently, 12.
The first four photographs showing a based-up model were done in the cheapest (default) WSF plastic. The default WSF plastic is good enough for most wargaming purposes; however, the WSF Polished plastic looks better, and is not much more expensive, so I'd normally recommend that. Unfortunately, Shapeways will often reject orders done in "Polished", because some of the details will be polished away, but these tend to be details not visible in the first place if you are using the cheapest WSF plastic... The other example, showing a painted by un-based model was also printed out in WSF plastic, and comes courtesy of the collection of Fred Oliver. It looks like he's given his model a lot more paint than mine, smoothing out the surface roughness of the unpolished plastic. WSF really soaks up paint like a sponge, which is no surprise when you see the grainyness of the material.
