1/144 scale Junkers J.I WWI ground-attack aeroplane with crew: an observer with a Parabellum machine gun and a pilot. The struts and thicknesses in the model are designed to meet White+Strong+Flexible (WSF) minimums. For a more detailed (albeit expensive) model, see the FUD (Frosted Ultra Detail) version. -- 227 Junkers J.I aeroplanes were completed in 1917-1918. The armored "bathtub" protecting the crew, engine, and fuel, the duraluminum skin, and the internal wing bracing made it a superbly robust low-level aircraft. In fact, none are thought to have ever been shot down in action.
