The famous Iron Bridge in Shropshire, England was the first bridge to be made of cast iron. Built by Abraham Darby in 1775 - 79, the bridge spans the river Severn in Coalbrookdale, now considered as the birthplace of the industrial revolution. This is a 1:160 scale model.of the central span of the bridge.

What a work of art. Buying one regardless of need or $$$$ the designer, magnificant !!!! Would use it on my model railwa but will wait until I see it !!!!

I highly recommend this piece. It is very delicate, i.e., most of the parts are less than a millimeter in thickness, which adds to its beauty, yet strong. If you have a penchant for significant historical bridges this model is for you. Mine is in WSF but as the real bridge is made of iron consider BSF- I will be ordering one of these also. Now, if only Nathan2012 will consider doing one or both of the bridges designed by Alexandre Gustave Eiffel - Maria Pia bridge in Portugal and the Garabit viaduct in France. Thank you Nathan !
